Grace is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to join our Material Technologies Business Division. This role reports to Sr. Manager Sales | Central-Eastern EMEA who is located in Poland. This position will be located in Poland with a sales territory in Germany with limited travel.
The portfolio includes 100+ customers with a focus on business expansion in Grace's strategic business sector such as: Pharma, Biodiesel, Colloidal and Coating. The person will be responsible for developing and driving sales across the full range of the Material Technologies Product Portfolio in the assigned Sales Area. This will be achieved through a professional approach, high level of business acumen and developing strong business relationships with customers, prospects and industry influencers. An Inside Sales Manager establishes and maintains the image of Grace as a preferred supplier of products and services at the customer/market interface.
Responsibilities
- Active sales responsibility for the assigned medium/small accounts (usual accountability from $3 up to $10M). Generates revenue by actively selling, soliciting, and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Develops accounts by checking customers’ buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
- Engage with interested prospects and build with prospect trusted relationships.
- Attain monthly sales targets and be accountable to yearly sales goals for the number of small and medium deals.
- Track and report data using Salesforce software to keep track of everything especially opportunities in the system.
- Conduct telephone marketing & sales with customers including technical promotion, and commercial conditions like price setting, payment terms, and INCOTERMS. Achieve agreed number of call reports and document follow-up of marketing campaigns as appointed.
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Work in close collaboration with Direct Sales, Channel Management, TSC, PM, and marketing organization on campaigns and assigned leads.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure appropriate delivery of products, services, and information.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree in business, chemistry, engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales/customer service/technical department preferred in a technical B2B environment, ideally in the chemical industry.
- Fluent in the English language – verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in German language
- Proficiency in following sales by using the right social selling media (LinkedIn/Salesforce etc.)
- Cooperative mindset with peers and other stakeholders in the organization, especially with marketing and other sales managers
- Strong Networking and Relationship-building skills – internal and external
- Skilled in the commercial process - understands value-adding sales of specialty chemicals.
- Results-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to understand and sell a technical product portfolio and the benefits they provide to customers.
- Able to envision and implement strategies for achieving the business plan.
