What you'll do:
- Provide compliance assistance both through field assessments or phone contact with facilities operating under the authority of the Missouri Clean Water Law
- Assist facilities with returning to compliance with any deficiencies as noted in the evaluations
- Assist other Water Pollution Section staff with routine facility inspections and investigations
- Knowledge of general Water Pollution control requirements
- General knowledge and experience with overall Department operations
- Degree in (or seeking) biology, chemistry, environmental protection, or similar related fields
- Excellent communication skills to interact with regulated entities and team members
- Ability to traverse uneven, rough, or difficult terrain
- Ability to travel, operate a motor vehicle, and maintain a valid operator's license.
- Ability to work in the field in a variety of weather conditions
