Entry/Mid Level ( Sweater Designer )

Well-established Fashion Company is seeking to fill the assistant designer position, with a detail-oriented individual in our growing 30-year-old company. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting the head designer in concept development, sampling stages, and through to production 
• Creating detailed flat sketches using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Creating and updating tech packs with detailed technical information 
• Spec samples and data entry
• Knowledge of gauges, yarns, and basic measurements  
• Tracking samples, following up with sample corrections and approvals
• Communicate with the technical and production team

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Strong Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Microsoft Office skills 
• Strong organizational, communication, & multi-tasking skills
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills, enjoys working with others, and has a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Interest in gaining new responsibilities and taking initiative where necessary to complete tasks
• Good grasp of the technical aspect of construction, fit, and standard specs
• Good taste level
• High standards and take pride in the work at hand
