Entry Level TIG Welder - Monday-Thursday - 11:30am-10:00pm
Starting at $19.00/hr-$22.00/hr based upon experience.
Job Description:
- Weld components in various positions.
- Operate safety equipment and practice safe work habits.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts for assembly, using various tools.
- Examine workpieces for defects and measure conformance with specifications.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to welding.
- Weld using various alloys, clamp, tack-weld, bend, grind, or bolt parts for required configurations.
- Select and install torches, tips, filler rods, and flux according to welding chart specifications.
- Ignite torches, strike arcs, and adjust gas flow for desired flames.
- Determine equipment and welding methods, considering metallurgy and geometry.
- Monitor processes to prevent overheating or material distortion.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using various processes.
- Analyze drawings, blueprints, and specifications for layout and assembly planning.
- Mark or tag materials with proper identifiers as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of welding experience in manufacturing or equivalent training/education.
- Fundamental understanding of MIG welding principles, with effective oral and written communication skills.
