Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Quality Engineer (Level 1) to join our Quality Engineering team located in Salt Lake City and West Jordan, UT on a 9-month term.
The selected candidate will work with Boeing Quality Engineering team to support Advanced Product Quality Planning verification, acceptance activity, Metal Fabrication and Assembly, and Composite Fabrication and Assembly. This position will report to a First-line manager for the duration of the term, and the incumbent will be terminated from the Boeing Company at the end.

Position Responsibilities:
- Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
- Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
- Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
- Uses product design engineering to develop quality verification plans.
- Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
- Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location Salt Lake City, Utah.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
- Experience in conducting a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) associated with a complex technical issue
- Must be current Strata Manufacturing Company employee.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience in the application / deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or AS9145 within organizations
- Experience in working with Suppliers
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience in inspection and inspection techniques
- Experience developing, documenting, maintaining, and improving processes

Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) 2+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
