Spectra-Physics, Ophir, Newport and ESI are brands within the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division. We provide a full range of solutions including lasers for precision industrial and scientific research applications, laser and LED measurement, beam profiling, precision motion control, optical tables and vibration isolation systems, photonics instruments, temperature sensing, opto-mechanical components, optical elements, and systems for flexible PCB laser processing, high-speed MLCC testing, and CO2-laser-based systems HDI PCB and IC substrate manufacturing. MKS Photonics Solutions enhance our customers' capabilities and productivity in the semiconductor, advanced electronics and specialty industrial markets.

Ophir is a brand within the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division. The Ophir product portfolio consists of laser and LED measurement products including laser power and energy meters, beam profilers, high-performance IR thermal imaging lenses and optics for CO2 and high-power fiber laser applications. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Quality Engineer to join our Ophir Instruments Calibration Service Center in North Logan, Utah. This individual will follow a disciplined approach to continually improve the site quality and will be responsible for ensuring that our customer's products are tested and calibrated in conformance with ISO/IEC-17025 standards. What you will do is:

+ Oversee the establishment of appropriate quality controls and lead the investigation and resolution of customer issues

+ Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process

+ Monitor the labs calibration equipment & on-time calibration performance metrics

+ Lead internal audits for both ISO-9001 (2015) & IEC-17025 (2017) standards.

+ Support external audits with 3rd party registrars for both ISO-9001 & IEC-17025 (2017)

+ Provide MRB (Material Review Board) support including Supplier Corrective Action Requests and Non-Conformances

+ Facilitate annual quality training for calibration lab personnel

+ Drive calibration test & process improvements in support of the site operations KPI's

What you will bring:

+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering

+ Experience with scientific test equipment laboratory or electronics manufacturing environment

+ 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering

+ Internal auditor experience with ISO-9001; experience with IEC-17025 preferred
