Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring for an Entry Level IT Technician to work with our client in their Mesa, Arizona facility.
As an Entry Level IT Technician , you need to have:
- Rack and stack assets including network switches, computer servers, PDUs and related equipment in a data center environment
- Install and dress cables: primary/secondary power, DAC, Ethernet & fiber
- Label cables in accordance with build specifications
- Tag assets to ensure proper cataloging in asset database
- Work with hand tools to assemble cabinets and install related hardware
IT Technician candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Some experience working with Ethernet and/or fiber cables
- Previous experience working with rack mounted network switches/routers and servers
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand throughout an 8-hour shift, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. of equipment as needed
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Racking and stacking
- Ethernet and/or fiber cables
- Previous work in a data center environment
- Hardware installation
- Networking or computer certifications
Additional Requirements
- Experience operating hardware test fixtures is beneficial
- Experience with testing automation software and scripting development on macOS and iOS platforms is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree and 0-1+ years of related experience, or equivalent work experience
This is a 1st shift position with 40 hours in week, Onsite 5 days per week.
Pay for this role is 20.00/hour. (Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.)
