The Irving, TX office has immediate openings for Entry Level Geologists or Civil Engineers, with 0 to 3 years of experience.
This position involves the collection, interpretation and compilation of geotechnical data from sites in various areas in Texas within various geologic settings and soil conditions. In this position you will assist the Project Engineer/Project Manager and participate in execution of field investigation and geotechnical projects with opportunities to support the environmental and construction programs. The Staff Geologist or Engineer will also assist with review and compilation of geotechnical laboratory and field testing results, perform geotechnical analyses and report writing.
Under direct supervision of a Project Manager, this person will be responsible for completing well-defined field and office tasks including but limited to:
- Assist the Project Engineer/Project Manager and participate in field assignments including boring layout and utility clearance,
- Supervision of drill rig and geotechnical field investigations,
- Field logging of soil and rock and office preparation of digital logs,
- Assist with lab testing assignment, compilation of lab and field testing results, and
- Assist the Project Engineer/Manager and prepare geotechnical reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geology/Geoscience.
- 0 to 3 years' experience in geology/engineering practice.
- Working knowledge of standard software such as: Excel, Word is required. Knowledge on gINT, GEOSTUDIO Suite (including SLOPE/W and SEEP/W), Slide, SHAFT, APILE, and LPILE is a plus.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience working on geotechnical projects and a technical background in geology, or engineering.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
