Salary Range: $16 per hour, with overtime opportunities
Introduction:
This position offers an exciting on-the-job training program designed to cultivate entry-level personnel into certified NDE Level II Radiographers. Our goal is to provide comprehensive training that leads to Level II certification in Radiographic Testing, equipping you with valuable skills for a rewarding career in nondestructive examinations (NDE). As an entry-level NDE Technician, you will play a crucial role in assessing the condition of critical industrial components while gaining the knowledge and experience needed to excel in the field.
Key Duties:
This role is designed for entry-level individuals who will undergo specialized training leading to Level I certification in conducting nondestructive examinations (NDE). The primary purpose is to assess the condition of critical industrial components.

Physical and Environmental Factors:
Candidates should be prepared to work in less-than-ideal conditions, including:
- Dirty or radiological environments
- Physically demanding conditions (e.g., extreme heat or cold, physical tasks like climbing, carrying heavy equipment)
- Ability to focus in hazardous industrial settings (e.g., heights, scaffolds, noisy areas, with machinery and hazardous activities nearby)
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and spatial relationships
- Familiarity with fundamental physical NDE principles and processes
- Competence in fundamental algebra
- Ability to read, understand, and prepare technical specifications and procedures in English
Candidates must also complete the following:
- Successfully complete the required 40-hour Radiation Safety Training as per the State of Texas regulations before becoming eligible for hire.
- Successfully complete the required DOT Hazmat training within 90 days of hire.
- To advance to a State Carded Radiographer, individuals must pass the TDSHS Radiographers exam within six (6) months to secure a state radiographers card.
