Job Summary/Basic Function:About This Role:
The IT Enterprise Applications department is inviting applications for the position of Enterprise Software Administrator(Middleware services). This position reports to Assistant Director of Database Administration. The successful candidate will have the training and skills necessary to install, configure, integrate, and maintain the Lamar University Enterprise applications and middleware. Candidates should have the knowledge ofbusiness process and technology, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Aspiring candidates should also have proficiency across a variety of N-tier software applications and computer systems.
What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities
- Banner ERP Applications Patching
- ERP Application Monitoring
- Banner ERP Application Upgrades
- Banner ERP Application Performance Monitoring and Tuning
- Document and Update Standard Operating Procedures including databases and backups.
- Install, Configure, Deploy new Applications
- Troubleshoot user’s issues
- Meetings & Vendor Webinars
- Knowledge sharing and Knowledge transfer
- Trainings & Conferences
Key Competencies:
- Install, Configure, Patch, and maintain Enterprise Applications
- Install, Configure, Patch, and maintain Application Servers and Web Servers
- Deploy applications and troubleshoot issues
- Assist Other Teams of IT with Maintenance tasks

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in administering the applications Experience in Red hat Linux or similar Enterprise Unix Operating Systems Minimum of 1 year experience in working with Apache, Tomcat Application Servers Knowledge and experience in writing shell scripts
