Job Location: Remote 90% / DC 10%

Position Overview: LSI requires the service of an Enterprise Architect to support a DOJ customer. The position This role will focus on Enterprise Architecture services required to support the customer in establishing and maintaining an EA program that aligns the engineering roadmap to IT Department (ITD) strategic goals. The Enterprise Architect (EA) will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining system, network, and Enterprise Architectural documentation in line with the federal Enterprise Architecture framework, building out the ITD Engineering baseline EA repository. This effort will allow the ITD to better serve customers by capturing its enterprise footprint to aid in troubleshooting, future planning, and business process reengineering.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of EA development tools, their capabilities, interoperability, DM2 conformance, and adoption throughout the federal Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Recommend appropriate tools, depictions, or extensions of the framework; design customized outputs and fit-for-purpose visualizations of EA data to facilitate its use and socialization across the agency. This includes strategic viewpoints, dashboards, and interactive/dynamic representations of EA data integrated with tools such as SharePoint, ServiceNow, and Power BI.
• Execute approved customizations to EA development tools to accommodate approved framework depictions, extensions, or customized outputs/visualizations.
• Establish and maintain a standard set of EA reports, exports, and customization, including formal documentation (Entity Relationship Diagram) of customizations to DM2 as implemented for Agency architecture.
• Leverage existing Agency EA products for capability assessments and recommendations.
• Support ITD internal and external customers in leveraging current and emerging architecture to inform various Agency-wide analytical needs for efforts, including capability management, solution development, migration planning, integration effort, data analysis, and strategic reporting.
• Develop, Review, and maintain all EA architecture products, including on-premise solutions and off-premise solutions, including cloud solutions.
• Develop and maintain the full FEA and/or DoDAF v2.02 (or later) conformant architecture views describing the ITD Enterprise.
• Develop and maintain customized or fit-for-purpose views.
• Generate AD HOC and scheduled EA outputs, including EA model documentation, EA reports, EA exports, and HTML architecture versions as needed.
• Publish and maintain the last validated version of the ITD EA to the ITD EA Repository.
• Publish and maintain the last validated version of the established ITD end-to-end (E2Es) to the ITD EA Repository.
• Ensure Alignment of EA with Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) (Integration points across data sets).
  • As the ITD CMDB capability matures, recommend integration points between the EA and the CMDB that allow for comprehensive understanding and analysis from the physical solution and network implementation perspective as captured in the CMDB to the more logical solution and business perspectives documented in the architecture.
• Support governance, oversight, compliance, and quality management of EA activities per the EA Strategy and EA Roadmap.
• Support initiatives, pilots, proof of concept, Analysis of Alternatives (AofA), and Review Boards to ensure alignment with agency and business IT needs.
• Work with internal and external organizations to complete business and IT Enterprise architecture planning.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Configuration Management Database, and Business Process Mapping development and administration.
• Specific tools/experience areas: UNICOM System Architect, Power BI, SharePoint
• Recommended Certifications (Current): Federal Enterprise Architecture, The Open Group Architecture Framework or equivalent.
• Clearance: Active DOD Secret or DOJ Public Trust
• US Citizen

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education and Certifications

• A minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a US Department of Education accredited University is required. Extensive and relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for education.
