Form of workUnder administrative direction of the Chief Technology Officer, CEA B, the Information Technology Manager II (ITM II) will serve as the Enterprise Applicationsand Data Chief. The IT Manager II will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the work of multiple information technology units through subordinate IT Manager Is (3) and IT Specialist IIIs (2). The responsibilities of this position align with the increased and complex workload expectations from implementing Employer Health Record (EHR) across the Department of State Hospitals (DSH).
Ensure alignment between EHR related product strategies and the overall business strategy. Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for enterprise EHR related product lines, covering a broad and highly complex technical environment. Partner with the enterprise architecture team to assess new technologies and continuously improve the technical environment to meet evolving business needs. Oversee the creation of product strategies and ensuring delivery against product roadmaps. Guide the product organization in managing products throughout their entire life cycle, from conception to launch to end of life. Working closely with the leaders of engineering and delivery functions, ensure that the products achieve both the customers' targeted outcomes and the organization's strategic objectives. Work collaboratively with data partners to create systematic approaches to capture and utilize actionable data/intelligence across the organization. Partner with business executives and management to drive Application and Data technology adoption.

Working Conditions
- This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, which includes up to 3 days of remote work per week, but is subject to change based on Department guidelines and business needs. Incumbent may be required to travel throughout California if needed, with prior notice.

This is a Sacramento-based position that may work remotely throughout California. Incumbent will have minimal to no travel requirements but may be asked to go onsite to one of DSH's six locations if needed and with prior notice.
