Medical Biller/Coder

```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding mental health procedures and diagnoses, submitting claims to insurance companies, and ensuring timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing processes.

Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for procedures and diagnoses
- Enter coded information into billing software or electronic health record systems
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues or discrepancies
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, and office staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, DRG systems, medical coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and billing processes
- Familiarity with addiction/mental health office procedures and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record systems
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
