Job Title: Engineering Technician C (Integration and Test Engineering Technician) Job Code: IMS20232410-107422 Job Location: Fall River, Ma Job Description: This new hire will work closely with the R&D engineering team, in a fast pace environment, to help develop and Test new designs along with sustaining the existing products. The position of Engineering Technician has the responsibility of assembling, testing, debugging and repairing electro/mechanical sub-assemblies. These assemblies can range from R&D prototype PCB designs and scale all the way to sensor Integration and sustainment on the R&D Unmanned Underwater Vehicles.
This position will require sufficient knowledge of debugging and repairing operations and the ability to perform rework at the board, subsystem, and full system level. Essential Functions: Perform and help create processes to build, test, diagnose, debug and repair mechanical and electrical products and sub-assemblies. Work with Engineering to devise/execute test plans to qualify new PCBA designs and document test results.
Test Battery Management system designs and firmware. Make custom cable assemblies in house for prototype units. Perform PCB surface mount component assembly on in house prototype builds.
Perform Board level rework on PCB assemblies. Work from drawings, manufacturing procedures, schematics and or customer reports to build, diagnose, debug, repair and document outcomes. Install software, including proprietary device drivers, Windows Operating systems, and prepping for executing tests Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision.
Perform disassembly and assembly on the Iver family of vehicles. Lifts, moves or manipulates heavy parts and assemblies ranging to 50 lbs. Operates various powered lifting and handling equipment ranging from hydraulic or electric lifting devices of lift tables.
Interfaces with management, engineering and fellow manufacturing associates. Will be required to interface and work with Manufacturing, Customer Support, and Engineering, staff. Give detailed feedback on frequents repairs and manufacturability issues to the R&D Engineering staff.
Qualifications: Must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
