The Level 2 Service Desk Technician is a user advocate and is responsible for providing outstanding technical on-site and remote support to users at Edelman Financial Engines. End User Services is a diverse and distributed team responsible for delivering Workplace technology services globally. The ideal candidate is a meticulous self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills who can deliver exceptional customer service by exceeding the expectations of our users.

As a Level 2 Service Desk Technician on the Enterprise IT Support team, you’ll play a pivotal role by leading training courses and providing support to other helpdesk members.

In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents: For this Level 2 Service Desk role, we need someone with demonstrated customer service and communication skills to help advance our IT Ambassador initiativeIf you are a motivated and innovative individual, this may be an ideal match for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead, develop, and host IT training courses for general users and executive staff ensuring training objectives and organizational goals are met.
  • Provide day to day user and executive support
  • Provide Network and Server basic support to include Windows, Linux, network switches and routers.
  • Scheduling new hire training, coordinating needed support and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate and understand a technical idea/concept.
  • Ability to work in a professional environment while interacting with peers and partners
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks, and stay on top of the latest technology.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing executive level support in an enterprise
  • Experience with set-up and maintenance of executive home office and support of BYOD scenarios
  • Implement, configure and administer Windows servers, Active Directory, and Exchange, O365, One Drive, JAMF, Intune, SCCM like tools.
  • Advanced knowledge in Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android configuration and support, including use of endpoint management tools such as JAMF, Intune and SCCM
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including robust analytical skill with a focus on preventative actions
  • Network and Server monitoring and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service with the ability to handle sensitive and challenging support situations using a calm and methodical approach while maintaining confidentiality with a focus for executive staff.
  • Motivated, results oriented, influential, innovative, curious and open minded, fun to work with, teammate
