- Oversee plan checking for encroachment permits
- Review traffic control plans for compliance with City Standards
- Oversee the coordination and contact with utilities and other City Departments
- Resolve field issues with contractors, utilities and consultants, when necessary
- Provide construction management support
- Knowledge of engineering planning, design and construction as applied to public works projects, utility, and/or private development projects.
- Knowledge of land use planning and CEQA.
- Knowledge of pertinent local, State and Federal Rules and Regulations especially related to the planning and implementation of public works and development projects.
- Proficient in the use of standard office software including Microsoft office products. Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, Arcview and ArcInfo a plus.
- Knowledge related to organizational analysis and management.
- A Civil Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university or working towards degree.
