Engineering - Student Intern - 25 Hours Per Week

Position Description
UAs a Manufacturing Engineer Intern your goal is to work with a manufacturing engineer to support them with everyday tasks.
Job Responsibilities

• Performing time studies
• Update and create work instructions
• Updating machine drawings, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
• Document machine KPVs (Key Process Variables)
• Quote and order materials and machine spare parts
• Other duties as needed to support the department

Job Skills Requirements

• Good teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical and/or electrical background
• Ability to use AutoCAD, Solidworks, or other drafting software a plus
• Knowledge of PLCs and HMI a plus
• Minimum Education High School Diploma or Equivalent,
• Enrolled in a technical school or university seeking a degree in related field (working towards a 4 year degree)
• Able to work a minimum 20 hours per week (M-F between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM)

May be required to lift or carry products, parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights. (Frequently 5 - 25 pounds), (Occasionally 25 - 75 pounds), (Rarely greater than 75 pounds)
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to use power/vibrating tools over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
