Engineering Project Manager - Medical Device - 24700

Need to be able to support evening telephone calls with Global suppliers 2x a week.

This pivotal role focuses on developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs. As a key player in the organization, you will collaborate with various departments, negotiate with suppliers, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing activities. Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

• Assist in management of multiple sustaining Engineering Projects with both internal engineering teams and suppliers; prioritize tasks based on line continuity requirements as well as supplier needs
• Assign team members to ensure that the internal team's overall resources are used effectively and supplier resources are available to meet project deadlines that project deadlines are met. 
• Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. 
• Lead Engineering Projects
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
  • Identify and resolve operational problems and minimize delays. 
• Leverage process knowledge and supplier relationships to troubleshoot timeline discrepancies and minimize schedule slip. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in product development and project management within a technical environment.
• Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand and integrate various engineering disciplines.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
