JOB SUMMARY:
AXIS Automation is looking for a Project Manager with a solid background in project management with an emphasis in capital equipment and mechanical systems. The Project Manager typically oversees projects ranging from $500K to $3M from receipt of order through customer site acceptance. This role requires coordinating, tracking, and reporting of all project related activities and resources to upper management. Communicating with sales, engineering, operations and finance throughout the course of the project is crucial. In addition to planning project execution, you will also play an integral part in defining the scope and deliverables for each project to all stakeholders.
The Project Manager will also be responsible for providing and keeping track of schedules, budgets, and changes in customer requirements for multiple projects simultaneously. These activities will require monthly reporting with proposals for scope changes when necessary. AXIS places a high priority on customer satisfaction which, for this position, involves consistent and effective communication with domestic and international customers throughout the life of the project.

ADDITIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Act as a liaison between Sales, Engineering, Operations and Finance and promote effective communication between departments.
· Implement and/or review budgets at the beginning of the project to set financial targets, and report any budgetary changes or financial risks on a timely basis.
·Complete a Project Requirements and Equipment Specifications (PRES) form for each project to document system specifications, product requirements, project risk analysis, prototype test plans, equipment test plans, and implementation plans.
· Coordinate and monitor all phases of a project including sales order entry, job entry, prototype testing, engineering, manufacturing, change requests, equipment testing, and customer acceptance.
·Create detailed and effective timelines for visualizing deadlines and monitoring the progress of the project.
·Update project checklist and punch list throughout the duration of the project, making sure to notify relevant parties of alterations and scope changes.
· Participate in FATs, coordinate punch lists, and document debug and rework efforts.
· Large and more complex projects involving multiple systems may occasionally require travel to participate in on-site SATs and commissioning with Axis Technicians and Sales Representatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
·A degree in engineering or technical field is desirable
·A minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience; preferable in capital equipment
·3D SolidWorks experience a plus
·Familiar with food processing equipment, systems and plant layouts is a plus
·Skilled using spreadsheet and word processing software
·Skilled in developing and using Gantt charts tracking multiple projects
·Attention to detail
·Strong ability to meet deadlines
·Excellent written & verbal communication skills
