What we're looking for...
This position is responsible for designing and developing product line extensions, making improvements to existing products for cost efficiency and reliability, and ensuring that projects are completed on time. This position also leads development of new products for the international market, working with International Product Manager, Sales team and staff based in overseas.
Expectations & Accountabilities ...

• Interact with Product Management and Marketing to fully understand product requirements and develop cost effective solutions for product line extensions.
• Manage and lead projects working closely with internal and external resources.
• Develop concepts, designs, and prototypes for new products.
• Perform feasibility analyses to support the overall business case.
• Work with Manufacturing and sourcing to create designs that are aligned with our assembly, manufacturing, and sourcing capabilities.
• Work with Quality Control to develop assembly and quality control procedures and perform product verification and validations according to the defined design inputs and product specifications.
• Work with internal and external vendors and consultants to create and test alternate materials and designs.
• Prepare technical documentation including 3D models, reports and production drawings/prints.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of experience in design and mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of materials and tools to develop multi-level Bills of Material and create solid models, assembly drawings, component drawings and tooling drawings in SolidWorks.
• Practical understanding of APQP.
• Knowledge of agency compliance regulations and programs.
• Ability to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving to get past technical issues.
• Ability to communicate technical and non-technical topics clearly and professionally.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate understanding of complex technical topics.
• Good interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional teams.
• Background in mechanical design, material selection and application.
• Ability to travel 20%
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.

• Experience in design and mechanical engineering in high volume manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in Mandarin.
• Ability to lead multiple Engineering Projects covering the range of the company's technology and product areas preferred.
• Ability to design and develop complete devices that integrate mechanical, electrical, and optical components preferred.
• Master's Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering preferred.
