Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The Engineering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the engineering and tooling departments to facilitate efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential Job Functions:

Directs and oversees the engineering function at MW Components, including:

• Equipment layout
• Product flow
• Lean process improvements
• Tool and gauge design
• New product development
• Review, approve, and modify product designs
• Capital investments
• Corrective Action System
• Provides on the job training
• Provides a safe workplace

Skills and Abilities: 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Organization and critical thinking skills
• Strategic thinking expertise
• Knowledge of metal working and manufacturing process.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Auto Cad.

Education and Experience

•  Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a master’s degree preferred
• Five years of management/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
