Engineering Manager
The Dahill Group is pleased to be assisting our client - a multi-disciplinary company that provides engineering, procurement, construction management, fabrication, and roustabout services to the oil & gas industry.Projects include saltwater disposal facilities, flexsteel/flexpipe produced water pipelines, injection facilities retrofits & expansions, permitting and tank batter facilities design and construction. The Engineering Manager will oversee and manage their in-house development, for their engineering, procurement, and oversee all project and construction management, and roustabout services. Our client is headquartered in Watford City, ND.This position can sit in or near Denver, CO, or any location within the state of North Dakota, Wyoming or Montana. Travel to Watford City, ND will be required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for expansion of the engineering team.
Identify new project opportunities.
Build and establish relationships with new and existing clients.
Set realistic expectations and ensure assigned projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.
Ensure that projects assigned to direct reports and team members are completed according to schedule and within budget.
Adhere to and ensure that all team members are in adherence to company quality standards and follow engineering checking and approval procedures.
Perform checking, or assign the appropriate checker, of engineering drawings and mathematical calculations produced by direct reports.
Responsible for ensuring the overall quality and technical accuracy associated with deliverables produced by all team members.
Oversee adherence to safe design practices, while focusing on identifying cost saving opportunities.
Plan and manage workload, budgets, and project resources, requesting assistance, as necessary
Assist in and coordinate the development of internal design guidelines, specifications, and design control procedures
Assess feasibility of projects by assessing materials, costs, and time requirements, applying knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics. Utilize complex and repetitive calculations.
Prepare or direct the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, and/or construction schedules for projects.
Analyze and examine different strategies, equations, and applications to ensure appropriate procedures are applied and/or utilized. Resolve design and development issues.
Manage client relationships and develop repeat business opportunities.
Compile discipline-specific man-hour estimates, and Total Installed Cost estimates based on client provided project
Education & Experience:
A bachelors degree in engineering.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with a proven track record in project management and team supervision oil & gas specific.
A thorough understanding and experience in upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities and processes.
Excellent computer and software skills.
Education & Experience: Preferred
Oil/Gas Facilities Engineering: 10 years (Preferred)
Engineering Management: 5 years (Preferred)
Salary & Benefits:
Salary - $150,000.00 - $220,000.00 commensurate with experience
