Job Summary

The Senior Software Configuration Management Engineer, provides Software Configuration Management (SWCM) related technical judgement for the RTX business area in Aurora, Colorado. This role will ensure implementation of customer requirements in compliance with Raytheon and Stages requirements. The individual will be required to work closely with program offices, Chief Engineers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) other CM specialists, as well as both internal and external customers.

This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate

  • Experienced background with Systems Engineering discipline of Configuration Management (CM) along with complete knowledge all engineering and operations disciplines.

  • Manage Requirements and Systems Engineering Artifacts along with the interdependencies.

  • Design, develop and manage SW development environments.

  • Manage all levels of SW integration and segregation of the code in branches. Control, manage and integrate modules and components along with supporting work products.

  • Conduct and manage Build Readiness Reviews.

  • Automate builds through scripting with the ability to evaluate and optimize existing build SW.

  • Automate and execute build verification testing.

  • Perform interim and release builds.

  • Deploy / install software and perform environment audits.

  • Perform post SW build verification.

  • Manage SW Change Process, Status Accounting .

  • Generate SCM metrics & perform process and policies audits.

  • Provide continuous process improvements & user support 

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of (5) five years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Two (2) years Configuration Management or related experience to included at least one of the following toolsets: Synergy, ClearCase, Atlassian Tool Suites or Rational Team Concert (RTC)

  • Experience applying systems level DoD Configuration Management principles and practices

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of related Engineering disciplines, such as Systems. Hardware, Software, Test and Quality, Experience working with production environments. Experience with PDM/PLM tools (e.g. PTC Windchill).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
