The Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department follows the basic principles of Configuration Management. SWCM establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle. SWCM provides innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement, and a skilled workforce providing support for all digital computing products: embedded software, firmware/configurable logic, test equipment, simulation, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and tools. Additionally, SWCM is responsible for administration and user access for Change and Configuration Management toolsets (i.e. Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS), Git, etc.)
The SWCM department is looking for a full-time and on-site Atlassian
Administrator (Senior Software Configuration Management Engineer), located in Aurora, CO.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
Build, configure and administer on-prem and cloud based Atlassian Jira product / systems
Configure, Jira for new requirements and enhancements as well as perform JSM administration work
Collaborate with teams to develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions using Jira
Create customized / tailored configurations, workflows, automations, reports, and integrations that meet specific program / site requirements
Manage user access (Maintain least privilege access for development team members) & license(s)
Trouble-shoot / repair implementation issues, escalations and action items
Maintain familiarity with program schedule, identifying risks and aligning work to promote reuse and efficiency
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Experience with administering and developing software team solutions on Atlassian tools especially Jira and Confluence
Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems
Experience at an advanced level with Jira workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, screens schemes, etc.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience setting and managing user permissions
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working on implementation and support Atlassian products at Federal Government agencies
Atlassian Certification(s)
Experience with scripting programming languages (i.e., Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML)
Experience with Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts
Database / SWCM tool administration experience
Work effectively with individuals from diverse communities/cultures and cross discipline organizations

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
