Summary:
Responsible for assisting engineering staff with daily engineering activities, improvement projects and production support.
Responsibilities:
- Seek opportunities from Sorenson Engineering personnel to expand knowledge of production operations.
- Actively endeavor to retain knowledge shared by Sorenson Engineering personnel.
- Assist with engineering activities pertinent to the department assigned.
- Provide daily updates to management on progress of learning.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the theoretical principles of the degree obtained.
- Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
- Must be able to effectively analyze data and work with engineers to provide conclusions from the data analysis.
Education and Experience:
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or STEM field.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to occasionally exert push force up to 50 pounds, must have good eye sight and hand dexterity, and able to identify and distinguish colors.
Work Environment:
- Within safety guidelines, there will be exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
