Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join the Sanford Service Center to support the team by maintaining current parts and support the development of new parts. Responsibilities include:
- Build Work Instructions for existing and new product development including product quality control
- Work with manufacturing personnel to create Manufacturing Operation Plans for existing and new parts.
- Part/Assembly/Drawing creation in Solid Works
- Drawing revisions to update existing drawings with known defects
- Update and further develop CNC tool library
- Develop in house material library in Solidworks
- Support new product development and design
- Operate in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Work with team to explore and expand ERP capabilities: Quality & Scheduling modules
- Learn and operate CNC mill and turning machine tools
- Create/assemble subcomponents of larger part assemblies
- Prepare parts for shipments to customer: cleaning, assembling, packaging
- Support overall day-to-day business operations
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Currently enrolled in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering program.
- Working understanding of SolidWorks
- Ability to work without direction and retain prior instruction
- Attention to detail
- Able to work continuously on feet
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal direction
- Able to lift, carry, and maneuver a maximum of 60 lbs
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift a maximum of 100 lbs
- Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
