Overview: 

Signalink, a rapidly growing small company, is currently seeking an Engineering Data Management Specialist to support the U.S. Army’s Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) missions as an integral member of a group of government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support on a wide variety of projects. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

The EDM Specialist will apply a systematic approach to acquiring, validating, storing, protecting, and processing required data to ensure its accessibility, reliability, and timeliness for its users. The candidate will track Technical Data Package (TDP) Live Buy requests, conduct TDP Prepositioning Tech Loop Review (PreTech) non-Live Buy spare parts full screening review, verify the quality of data being submitted prior to its acceptance into the Command Repository, and process Contractor, Government, and Reorder requests. The candidate will require proficiency in tools (ICAPP, MEARS, EDIS, DCS, DNA, ILTMARS, LMP, DNA, etc), software (ImageView, IndexR, PixEdit, etc), and regulations/standards (AR 25-1, AR-25-400-2, DoD Manual 5400.07, DoD Instruction 5015.02, MIS-STD-52406-IS, ASME Y.14, DFAR clauses 252.227-7013-7015, etc).

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of applicable experience in a government or contractor setting
  • Ability to following instructions/procedures and be a team player.
  • Effective oral and written communication to provide advice and guidance to customers, such as providing instructions in a clear manner, preparing reporting documents, and representing the organization in interactions with other Depot organizations.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and effectively communicate orally and in writing to write complex data queries, linking databases to generate output products from pertinent databases to functional areas, interpret directives and provide guidance to customers services.
  • Skills in Basic Microsoft/computer Skills, data storage, software application, networking, interprets regulations and procedures.
  • Skills in identifying and resolving varied issues and problems of a recurring nature; preparing and updating instructions and operating procedures; providing information and assistance to customers; evaluating established methods and procedures and preparing recommendations for changes in methods and practices where appropriate; and ensuring the application of appropriate security measures.
  • Skills in identifying the work effort to be done, urgency, priority, in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Skills responsible for meeting hand receipt, reporting, training, and other office administrative requirements.
  • Knowledge of, and skills in applying customer service and customer support principles and methods to provide basic customer support.
  • Knowledge and skills in procedures for gathering data and information to define requirements in a form to be submitted for resolution, approval, and implementation.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge: 

  • Experience using standard operating procedures for EDM Service Specification (SS), EDM Data Acceptance, EDM TDP Live Buys, EDM TDP Pretech, and Knowledge Management Services Group Data Loading Manual.
  • Experience in Acquisition Method Reason Code (AMRC) identification to ensure accurate description of the results for part technical reviews and its suitability for breakout.
  • Experience with the review of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Notice of Revisions (NORs), Engineering Release Records (ERRs), engineering drawings and documents, and supplemental technical data.
