Job Purpose
Lead activity with the MRO, NAIP, SPDM, PEBU purchasing to procure critical proprietary spare parts for all of the NA Plants. Determine sourcing for spare parts; in-house, from HM, or by approved suppliers. Provide quote, when necessary, ship, bill, and support accounting as required for cost allocation. Arrange for assembly and quality check of spare parts as new suppliers are validated. Perform technical analysis of critical spare parts to determine if PEBU can shift procurement to MRO via approved companies or suppliers when able. Provide technical support, plant technical training, and perform repair and performance validation for specialized D-Products.
Key Accountabilities
- D-Product technical expertise utilized to ensure MMC delivery stability on D-product issues (Servo Guns, Paint bells, LET's & ETC) including but not limited to emergency support, creation of assembly and troubleshooting manuals, training suppliers and associates on correct assembly and tracking methods.
- Create and monitor NA region PEBU supplied spare parts to ensure all factors are consider including tracking of delivery, process time, specialty purchase parts orders. Create and track NA region D-product rebuilds along with ensuring the process required to achieve quality is maintained on in-house and supplier-built D-product assemblies.
- Validation of replenishment stock orders for MRO, Working with NAIP set the localization plan or direct supplier setting of PEBU proprietary items. Optimization of direct order details and reduction of PEBU order quantity to create ideal Q.C.D characteristics.
- Ensure NA Region spare parts inventory for D-product is properly planned to ensure regional Q, C, D characteristics are achieved, Lead discussions with HM & TW for orders to Japan - Including but not limited to the creation of RFQ's, requisitions and communication between PEBU and HM
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or equivalent job experienceRequired Experience:
- 3+ years of technical/engineering work experience in Manufacturing (focus in specialized area a plus)
Desired Skills:
- Application of engineering and manufacturing principles
- Technical experience with HOMA D-products
- Proficient with Microsoft Office & SAP
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate effectively both with customers
- and internal project teams
- Business acumen in a technical environment
Working Conditions
- Flexible Work Hours & Schedule if needed.
- 20% remote for this role
- Work on the floor, in office, and attend/report at meetings.
- Ability to Travel, both domestic and international (<10%) travel to manufacturing and vendors sites
- 5-15 hours of OT per week
- Weekend, holiday, and emergency support work may be required
