Engineering Cad Technician

CAD Technician needed. Must be mechanically inclined and experienced using CAD software. Will train the right candidate in furthering their engineering skills.

Job duties:

• Produce 2D and 3D models of products, using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies and systems
• Work with customer representatives to review schematics and answer questions pertaining to installation of systems
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating or production problems that may arise
• Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign part numbers to the materials
• Evaluate part costing and record data
• Conduct quality checks on CAD drawings to identify and resolve any errors or discrepancies.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data to assess efficiency and feasibility of design
• Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out or detail components and systems and resolve design problems.
• Maintain organized files and records of all CAD designs and revisions

Experience:

• Proven experience working as a CAD Technician or in a similar role
• Proficient in SOLIDWORKS and Microsoft Office
• Competent in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of drafting techniques and principles
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
