Job Summary:
The Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) Assoc. Production Engineer (PE) will provide manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance to facilitate disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines at the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in support of production delivery schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and provide interpretation of technical data as necessary to support production.
  • Participate in teams reviewing and investigating process breakdowns; perform root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in control.
  • Provide timely work scope definitions for engine and/or module repair that are comprehensive, clear, concise, cost effective, and meets customer-defined requirements Utilize SAP, program databases, and Microsoft office tools.
  • Support a responsive and adaptive culture where cross-training, teamwork, and knowledge sharing is ingrained within the team's culture.
  • Participating in teams, committees, events, and training that improve the HMC organization and support achieving of CORE objectives.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to EH&S by meeting all training requirements, participating in committee assignments and performing audits as required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical/Business in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
  • Fluent in English (verbal/written).
  • 3.0 GPA requirement or 2 years of experience.
  • Must be willing to work 1st (0700-1600), 2nd (1500-2400) shift, or weekends at least on a rotational basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an MRO Engine Facility.
  • Experience in briefing management and senior leadership is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience participating in teams to achieve successful results.
  • Successful candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision on a wide variety of tasks.
  • Successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training and supporting all EH&S committee activities.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Successful candidate will participate in achieving and sustaining CORE requirements for the HMC.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience. Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
