How will you make an impact in this role?

  • As a part of Data Governance team, you are responsible for bringing data systems under governance with the data policy within your domains/business units. You will partner with business process owners and business product owners to implement data policy and standards for the Physical Data, including Metadata, data quality rules, lineage, transformation, implementing technical controls, and remediation of technical data quality issues. You will have the opportunity to work across business units, enterprise technology teams, and product/platform teams to define and execute strategy, driving the consistency, usability, and governance of our data assets for the respective business unit.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Data Governance policy requirements and standards for data and data systems

  • Gain expertise on data consumed and produced and works with Business Stewards and Business Process Owners to implement data quality controls and reporting

  • Enable data lineage across applications

  • Deep understanding of the Product / Technology Platform’s underlying tech stack and its core components

  • Responsible for the applications architecture / technical design & build, work/coordinate with other team’s architect, engineers and vendors as necessary

  • Proficient leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels across functions, from both technical and non-technical perspectives alike

  • Able to define, influence and deliver software solutions against strategic plans that promote Company Platform objectives

  • Outstanding influential and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus and tangible outcomes, demonstrated by breaking down silos and fostering cross communication process

  • Accountable for team completing work you are doing as agreed upon

  • Accountable to team for delivery of quality work

  • Serving as a core member of an agile team that leads user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops software applications

  • Strong thought leadership skills with an ability to problem solve and create strategic plans

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, computer engineering or equivalent is required with hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing

  • Successful engineering and deployment of enterprise-grade technology products in an Agile environment

  • Hands-on delivery experience in the fundamental components of the assigned portfolio’s primary technology stacks

  • Expert Java; fluency with Java 8 streams.

  • Knowledgeable and experienced with real time framework, data streaming like Kafka, Filnk, In-memory computation and data virtualization tools & techniques

  • Knowledgeable and experienced with scripting languages such as Python, etc.

  • Strong UNIX shell scripting skills

  • Implementation or working experience of Continuous Integration and Continues Delivery using tools and automation capabilities such as JUnit, Mocking, TestNG, Jenkins, Git, Stash and Jira

  • Highly proficient in SQL and PL/SQL ; Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements ; Strong PL/SQL skills including complex query building and query performance tuning

  • Large scale software product engineering experience with contemporary tools and delivery methods in a complex environment (i.e. DevOps, CD/CI, Agile, etc.)

  • Experience in Data Governance tools and technology is an added plus

  • Knowledge in objected oriented analysis and design across a variety of platforms

  • Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing

  • Ensure data quality and integrity within each data set and support linkage to other appropriate data sets in consistent manner. This includes testing and validating any new database design against previous data structures.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data concerning production volumes, batch schedules, and i/o statistics

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.

  • Experience with a broad range of software languages and financial business domain knowledge will be a plus

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
