Job Description
Type: Part Time- 10-20hrs/week ++
RE for Type: to allow candidates who may have other obligations or time constraints (i.e. current student/grad) studies) the opportunity to join our team without having to jeopardize current responsibilities. Position is very open to full time/salary for the right individual.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare drawing submittals using AutoCAD (REVIT/Solidworks etc.) for projects following applicable design codes, OSHA regulations, local codes and company guidelines
Perform engineering calculations as required using engineering software like STAAD, RISA, TEDDS, ENERCALC and others
Perform detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and design for access systems (scaffold, hoist elevators, mast climbers, suspended systems)
Design Elevated access platforms and personnel/material hoists for construction, energy and industrial sectors
R&D-design enhancement, shop drawings, mock-up, integration of control systems, automation.
Special Skills, Professional Qualifications, Certifications, Software Skills, etc.:
Degree in Engineering, construction management, or another accredited technical institute/university. (Bachelors level preferred, associates level considered on individual basis).
STRONG AUTOCAD skill REQUIRED
Must have ability to read, interpret and accurately take-off constructions drawings. Must possess advanced skills in mathematics and physics. Bonus if knowledge in hydrostatics and or tooling
Candidate can be current student or within internship program
Position can be performed remotely however there will be in person or onsite meetings on occasion so proximity to the Philadelphia/NJ/NYC metro is ideal but not required
NOTE: Candidate must be team orientated with good/strong communication skills as the individual will be working primarily remotely and under the direction/guidance of one or more P.E.’s .
