Overview:
As an Automotive Engine Builder, you will play a pivotal role in the creation, assembly, and enhancement of high-performance automotive engines. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal functioning and reliability of engines for various vehicles, including cars, trucks, and racing vehicles. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a passion for automotive engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Engine Assembly: Utilize your expertise to assemble automotive engines according to manufacturer specifications and engineering standards. This includes installing components such as pistons, camshafts, crankshafts, valves, and cylinder heads.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies to guarantee the reliability and longevity of the engines.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot engine issues and identify root causes of performance issues or malfunctions. Implement effective solutions to resolve problems and optimize engine performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of engine specifications, assembly procedures, and modifications performed. Generate reports on assembly progress, quality control measures, and performance improvements for reference and analysis.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in automotive engine assembly, machining, and performance tuning techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and precision craftsmanship are essential for ensuring the quality and reliability of assembled engines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve engine-related issues effectively. Experience in engine diagnostics and performance optimization is advantageous.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with the engineering team, mechanics to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality engine assemblies.
- Time Management: Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Awareness of potential hazards associated with engine assembly and machining activities.
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional vocational training, certification, or a degree in automotive technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as an automotive Engine Builder or technician is highly advantageous.

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
