The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater treatment, growth and Development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.

The Engagement and Development Unit (EDU) resides in OEEO. The purpose of EDU is to implement comprehensive and targeted small business development, outreach and engagement programs, initiatives, and tools to support inclusive participation in Council programs, activities, and services.
This position serves in a lead role for outreach and marketing efforts related to EDU priorities; provides strategic direction in the development of outreach and communication plans; and leads efforts to assess how outreach and engagement activities relate to regional goals. Will engage closely with two small OEEO business-contracting programs: Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and the Council’s Underutilized Business (MCUB).

Salary Range: $84,989- $128,274 annually
Minimum Requirements:
Any of the following combinations of experience (in a diversity-related field) and completed education (degree field of study in human resources, social sciences, law, business administration, public administration, public policy, or closely related field:
· Bachelor's degree AND five (5) years of experience including three (3) years of experience in a lead/supervisory/project management or management role.
· Master's degree AND three (3) years of experience including one (1) year experience in a lead/supervisory/project management or management role.
