NMR is seeking candidates for an Energy Research Analystor Energy Engineering Analyst III position. We’re an employee-owned consulting firm specializing in the research and evaluation of energy-efficiency and clean-energy programs.

The anticipated salary for this position is in the $70,000s to $80,000s, depending on qualifications and experience. We prefer candidates located in the Boston area but will also consider candidates located elsewhere who can work remotely.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degreeplus five years’ experience or a Master’s degree plus three years’ experience. We prefer candidates with degrees in engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, economics, sociology or other social science.
We prefer candidates with experience addressing energy-related subjects, and also candidates who understand the principles and practices of program evaluation. Successful employees will have opportunities for advancement in this growing company and field. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Designing and implementing surveys, and analyzing survey and other data
- Designing, conducting, and reporting on semi-structured interviews
- Performing descriptive quantitative analyses using R, SPSS, or similar data analysis packages
- Conducting energy audits and developing energy models
- Performing analyses to estimate energy savings
- Writing clear and concise research summaries, memoranda, and reports
- Managing tasks and staff assigned to those tasks
