- Work with a team member to conduct home visits according to established protocols.
- Manage time to complete visits according to schedule.
- Assume the role of Lead or Installer for Home Energy Squad (HES) Install visits.
- Conduct product installations for HES and multifamily visits (primarily LED light bulbs, energy efficient shower heads, weatherstripping, and thermostats)
- Consult with customers about energy goals, questions, and concerns.
- Teach customers about energy use and encouraging low-cost and no-cost energy-saving measures.
- Communicate with coworkers throughout visits to discuss upgrade recommendations.
- Discuss upgrade recommendations with customers and gauge the customer’s interest.
- Encourage customers to complete additional recommended treatments by using the Energy Advisor service.
- Accurately record and enter data into our tracking database.
- Accurately manage product inventory.
- Drive a Home Energy Squad van.
- Complete assigned administrative tasks and responsibilities during office time.
- Assist with our marketing and outreach efforts.
- Understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures, attending trainings as requested, and reading company-wide emails and correspondence.
- Ongoing participation in our Energy Counselor training program
- Other duties as assigned or apparent
- Display genuine interest in residential energy efficiency and a willingness to expand your knowledge base on the subject.
- Demonstrate excellent customer relations and communication skills.
- Showcase strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work in team settings.
- Possess basic computer and keyboard competency and show proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Be capable of lifting 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
- Be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record, and an ability to occasionally travel overnight to conferences and out-of-state work trips.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $19.50
