Job Description
- The AmeriCorps Empowerment Aide works alongside Stabilization coaches to help neighbors achieve the ultimate impact of stabilization to move towards an improved quality of life. Duties include providing face-to-face case management and referral coordination for neighbors, interviewing/assessing neighbors in individual and group sessions to help identify barriers, and assisting with job search activities. Schedule is Monday – Wednesday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, with some Fridays and weekends as needed.
- The AmeriCorps Food Programs Aide supports efficient client choice in Network’s Community Market (free food pantry program) operations that enable its food-insecure neighbors to have access to healthy and nutritious food. Duties include stocking food and hygiene items, providing customer service to neighbors as they shop at the Community Market, and riding along with food pick-ups and the Mobile Market. Schedule is Monday – Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some Saturdays as needed.
- Members will be paid $4,500 (broken down and paid in twice monthly installments during the term- $1,237 per month)
- Members receive a $1,824.07 education award at the end of their term (can be used for future tuition or student loans)

- Some service positions may fulfill college and university internship requirements.
- Available from January 8th- April 26, 2024
- Available 32 hours per week during business hours, M-F 8am-5pm, with the possibility of some hours on Saturdays
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Deferred action and temporary permanent resident do not qualify)
- Able to access reliable transportation
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Preferred one-year experience in a non-profit setting as a paid employee or volunteer, and/or experience in social work, human service or a related field
