The Whole Foods Market Culinary Sourcing & Supply Chain Team leads the company’s efforts to source and manage all ingredients, components, and finished products in the Prepared Foods, Bakery, and Specialty Departments. This team leads, plans, and coordinates all aspects of a highly complex Supply Chain through best-in-class procurement, distribution strategies, and building a network of trusted vendor partnerships.
This is a unique position on an innovative team that collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support sourcing the highest quality organic and natural foods across all Whole Foods Market stores. This role will primarily focus on managing the Supply Chain / distribution strategy for the Culinary team. The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for driving key initiatives forward through effective project management, communication, accountability and follow-through, maintenance of accurate project data/status/deliverables, and overall high level of service and quality of work. This TM will strengthen relationships with our third-party vendor network, evaluate and identify risks/opportunities, and develop creative solutions to complex business problems through in-depth analyses and coordination/ negotiation with key decision makers.

The position is based in Austin, TX our of our Global Store Support HQ offices and must be in office 3 days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative programs and projects
- Monitor and support overall distribution, Supply Chain, inventory analysis, and strategic buying programs to ensure overall Culinary Sourcing and Supply Chain needs are met
- Communicate and collaborate with project and business owners as needed to ensure overall program performance by working with cross functional partners to establish SOPs, SLAs and identifying/removing roadblock.
- Analyze overall program performance and report risks and progress to key stakeholder groups.
- Support Buyers and Inventory Analysts with Supply Chain planning and strategy – including freight analysis, cost modeling, distributor selection / relationship management, tool creation, and evaluation of strategic Supply Chain options
- Earn trust, establish credibility, build partnerships, and champion an innovation culture across the organization
- Assist in designing sustainable reporting of metrics and KPI’s published in weekly and monthly business reviews to senior level leadership
Qualifications:
- Have a track record of success in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering results
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening
- Proficiency with some form of project management software/tools, as well as internal tools for project financials and document management – MS Project, MS Planner, and Smartsheet or other applicable software
- Analytical skills; work effectively with data in various formats such as Excel pivot tables
- Solution-oriented + service mindset, with ability to find alignment amongst stakeholders in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
- BA/BS degree and 4+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Nice to Have's:
Understanding of perishable Supply Chains with a focus on culinary products a plus
Understanding of the culinary industry, trends, information sources and terminology a plus
Experience in a multi-unit capacity preferred
