Employment Specialist/Job Coach

Pay: $15 an hour plus bonuses

This position is part-time with full-time potential later.

Location: This is a remote position. You will service clients in the St. Lucie and Martin County areas.

Position Overview:
As an Employment Specialist/Job Coach, you will work closely with individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized job coaching and support services to help them secure and excel in employment opportunities. This role involves developing individualized employment plans, conducting job readiness training, and fostering positive relationships with employers to create job placements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual strengths, skills, and employment goals.
• Develop personalized employment plans tailored to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
• Provide job readiness training, including resume building, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette.
• Collaborate with employers to identify suitable job opportunities and facilitate job placements.
• Offer ongoing support and coaching to individuals in the workplace to ensure job retention and success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and track progress towards employment goals.

Requirements:

• 4 years working with individuals with disabilities or a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Work, or a related field (preferred); or 2 years working with disabilities and an Associate degree.
• Previous experience working in vocational rehabilitation, job coaching, or related roles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of local labor market trends and employment resources in Florida.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel to various job sites within the area.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evenings as needed
• Weekends as needed
