As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for employee communication, healthy onboarding and employee experience. This role affords you the opportunity to be hands-on as a primary resource to our client.
Essential Functions
- Lead the full cultural and compliance considerations for the full employee life cycle
- Communicate policies pertaining to all areas of human resources, including employee and organizational expectations, governmental adherence and agency guidelines
- Conduct onboarding and orientation program for all new employees
- Decipher and respond to various employee data collection metrics
- Culture champion for the team
- Conduct annual benefit meetings
- Point of contact to enforce time/attendance memos/meetings
- Monitor and conduct all PIP discussions along with appropriate director
- Conduct stay and exit interviews
- Lead performance management process and initiatives
- Conduct investigations
- Ensure companies are compliant with HRIS, payroll, benefits and recordkeeping
- Support in maintaining employee/HR records, including new hire set up, I9 validation, all monthly payroll changes and ensuring compliance with state and federal legislation
- Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials
- Performs other related activities as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or other related field, preferred, or related military or work experience
- Ability to work under pressure and tough deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience with Paycom a plus
- Ability to work under your own initiative
- Competent user of Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Friendly disposition and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to sit, stand and bend would be required
