Covered California, a leading state health exchange committed to providing affordable, high-quality healthcare, is seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist III (ITS III) to join our team as the new Employee Experience Enterprise Application Architect!
Your Opportunity:
As the ITS III, you will have the opportunity to not only drive innovation and implement best-in-class practices to enhance user experiences and improve efficiencies but also to proactively seek opportunities for system integration. This role provides a platform for self-motivated individuals to make impactful decisions and build strong partnerships within the business. You will work closely with project managers and leadership to review current business applications, identify gaps, and develop recommendations for improvement.
In addition to technical expertise, our ideal candidate also possesses strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of both IT systems and the Employee Experience. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience in designing and implementing technology solutions to improve the Employee Experience, with at least 5 years of experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations and a good understanding of business processes to translate them into technical requirements. This position's office headquarters location is designated in Sacramento County. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee's office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions

  • This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California's current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.

  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) business applications: Candidates should have experience with ServiceNow, Workday, SharePoint, M365 tools, DocuSign, and CLM
  • Systems Analysis Skills: Ability to review and analyze existing systems, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or new solutions
  • Process Improvement Skills: Candidates should have a background in identifying and implementing process efficiencies within technology systems
  • Employee Experience Focus: Experience in enhancing user or Employee Experience through technology solutions would be highly desirable
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Given the collaborative nature of this role, strong communication, and relationship-building skills are essential
