Position Overview
Our Employee Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for supporting engagement initiatives including, but not limited to Employee Engagement and recognition. This position will collaborate internally with department leaders and other team members to promote and reinforce core programs that impact Employee Engagement.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Assists the Senior Manager of Communications and Engagement (supervisor) with promoting the Community Coffee Company culture, mission, and vision by executing company programming and events, building relationships, and cultivating a positive work environment.
  • Assists supervisor and works with cross-functional teams to execute company events and activities, including holiday parties, team-building activities, and volunteer activities to further promote Employee Engagement.
  • Maintains events/activities calendar, tracks budget and ensure appropriate records and documentation are kept for all Employee Engagement programs, events and activities.
  • Collaborates cross functionally to support Employee Engagement and recognition initiatives including company and team recognition events, supportive programs and tools that drive the company's values and business objectives, such as keeping employees connected and engaged and encouraging networking and partnerships with employees across the organization.
  • Acts as primary point of contact for employees regarding the programs.
  • Helps promote an inclusive environment where all members of the organization feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
  • Assists with reviewing budgets and key performance indicators for engagement and recognition program effectiveness, and researches and recommends changes if needed.
  • Assists in preparing communications, such as internal news articles, presentations, and standardized templates to promote the company's programs and support engagement, recognition, and our values-based culture.
  • Supports all leaders in creating and maintaining a best-in-class employee experience for our people.
  • Administers employee recognition programs including annual and milestone anniversaries, performance awards, "kudos" systems, etc.
  • Performs special projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Performs other Employee Engagement related duties and responsibilities as required.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or acceptable equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience delivering results within HR, talent management and acquisition and/or people & culture programs.
    • Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.

  • Must demonstrate professionalism and have an extremely high regard for confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage within budget constraints.
  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to become proficient in various applications.
  • Strong judgment and comfort dealing with ambiguity and fast-moving situations.
  • Self-motivated; Takes initiative; Able to work within a dynamic environment.
