Benefits Account Manager
KOVR is a small full-service independent insurance agency based in Los Angeles. We provide clients with the service they are lacking with the big agencies.
We are looking for a proactive Benefits Account Manager who can provide outstanding, high-quality service, and has the drive for new sales. You need to be comfortable working in a small agency and handling service, renewals, and sales for Group, IFP, and Medicare business.
Active California Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Must have at least 3-5 years experience working in Medicare, IFP and Small Group.
- Experience with annual Open Enrollment for Medicare and IFP
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and contract documents for accuracy.
- Identify best fit carrier and coverage levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to solve issues for all types of clients with professionalism and patience.
- Ability to easily connect with people and build rapport/relationships with clients.
- Excellent at problem solving and priority sorting during busy times, especially during Open Enrollment periods.
- Handle day to day service issues including medical and Rx coverage questions, claims and billing questions.
- Knowledge of current marketplace as well as staying up to date on all related changes and developments in Group, IFP, and Medicare.
- Initiative to do both servicing of clients and building a pipeline of new opportunities/clients.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage your time and prioritize multiple tasks and workflow effectively.
Technical Skills/Duties
- Knowledgeable in Medicare PDP/MAPD/Supplements and Individual plans in CA.
- Ability to convey information clearly in both written and oral communications.
- Excellent at team and relationship building with clients, coworkers, and vendors.
- Self-motivated to continuously & enthusiastically follow-up with clients and prospects.
- Ability to adapt to new systems.
- Identify possibilities for improved workflows and processes.
- Stay informed and up-to-date in all benefits, carriers, plans and continuous changes.
Remote Qualifications
- Have a distraction free working environment.
- Must be able to stay motivated while working remotely.
- Must Reside in California.
Experience working with:
- Agency Management Systems
- Office 365 Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Slack and Zendesk a plus
