Tesla has an outstanding opportunity available for an Emergency Services Specialist to join the team at our Austin, TX Giga Factory. Become part of an all-hazards risk team. During their assigned shift, the Emergency Services Specialists are responsible for carrying out assignments pertaining to emergency preparedness, prevention, and response. We are responsible for responding to Haz-Mat, emergency medical, technical rescue, and fire related emergencies.
Shift available: Nights 6:30PM – 6:30AM (10% pay differential)
2 Week Rotating Schedule
Week 1) Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2) Wednesday, Thursday

Note: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. - Responds to fire alarms and provide a situational assessment. Provides emergency medical care within limits established by clinical operating guidelines
- Provides verbal, written, and computer reports pertaining to condition and care of patients at emergency scenes.
- Support facility operations to minimize damage. Safely and efficiently operates emergency response vehicles
- Assist in pre-fire planning of Tesla facilities. Assist in confined space inventory, classification, and incident pre-planning
- Support stakeholders with emergency action plans, emergency drills, and emergency communication
- Provide advanced life support while responding to various medical emergencies to include trauma, chemical exposure, or personal medical emergencies
- Responds to sitewide emergencies consistent with fire suppression and rescue in accordance with established protocol. Provide technical rescue, confined space rescue standby, high and low angle rescue, trench rescue, and/or vehicle extrication
- Require Firefighter 1 and 2 (IFSAC/Pro Board or TCFP)
- Require Current National Registry EMT-B or TDSHS EMT-B (Paramedic Preferred)
- Require HazMat Operations (Hazmat Technician Preferred)
- Integrity & trustworthiness, as well as a strong work ethic
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Positive attitude!
Physical Requirements:
- Must be comfortable in confined spaces
- Must be able to initially and annually pass a physical test similar to the CPAT
- Must complete medical baseline assessment and have the ability to complete physically strenuous tasks associated with fire suppression, for extended periods of time
