Position Description:
This unique position combines the critical roles of providing first response medical and emergency services with performing administrative duties. Responsible for providing on-site Emergency Medical support during all high-risk training evolutions. The EMT-B will be a part of all underway training and will also serve as Administrative Assistant to the Site Lead. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, highly organized professional with a passion for healthcare and the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization according to established protocols.
- Perform detailed patient assessments and execute basic life support interventions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient care reports in line with Navy and DoD standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure proficiency in Emergency Medical techniques and knowledge.
- Serve as the primary administrative support to the Site Lead, managing schedules, correspondence, and various organizational tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents related to the team’s operations and activities.
- Manage inventory and procurement of office and medical supplies, ensuring equipment and materials are always ready for use.
Security Clearance: Not Required
Education: High School diploma/GED
Certification:
- Current EMT-B certification must satisfy all the EMT-B requirements for the State of California.
- Current certified CPR/AED instructor, and ability to maintain such certification.
Qualifications:
- Minimum relevant experience of one year experience preferred, with a strong preference for experience in military or high-stress environments.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong communicatio0n skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of an EMT-B, including lifting and moving patients.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
