Email Marketing Strategist

Ignite Visibility, an award-winning and fast-growing digital marketing agency in sunny San Diego is looking for a highly experienced, strategy, and result-driven Email Lifecycle Marketing Strategist to join our team. This is senior highly level role.

The Email Marketing Strategist is responsible for leading enterprise client email strategy, leading a team of Email marketers, overseeing strategy, and managing client accounts. This role is fully remote within the U.S. Applicants must live within the 50 U.S. states to be considered.

Essential Functions

• Lead agency Email Marketing strategy and execution for up to 5 client campaigns
• Research the latest marketing trends impacting Email Marketing
• Manages email processes, methodologies, resources, and consulting documents
• Reviews email campaigns and strategies to ensure alignment with client goals and expectations
• Support sales with client account audits and sales presentations for Email Marketing
• Provide support within the Email team for difficult client inquiries and complex client initiatives
• Build skilled the Email team, manage current team, and forecast staffing needs
• Meets with directors in other departments to coordinate cross-departmental initiatives
• Act as a thought leader for the Email department and identify department growth opportunities and development
• Track Email revenue and gross profit
• Conduct performance reviews and approves and track individual goals
• Participates in the hiring and onboarding process of new team members
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills

• Extensive experience with Email strategies that result in conversions for clients
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and task execution skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to be self-directed
• HTML experience
• Google Analytics experience
• Proficient in one or more major ESP (Klaviyo, MailChimp, Bronto, etc.)
• Experience with project management tools such as Basecamp or Monday.com is a plus

Required Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
• Digital marketing agency experience required
• Digital Marketing or Advertising agency email experience required
• 6+ years of experience managing Email Marketing programs and campaigns including automation flows, audience segmentation, personalization, and other high level email strategies.
• 3 years of leadership and team management experience with the ability to quickly build trust and relationships with team members.
• Possess a passion for leadership and people management

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and task execution skills
• Advanced Email Marketing experience
• Intermediate Google Analytics experience

• Expert in using major ESP (Klaviyo, MailChimp, HubSpot, Bronto, etc.)
• Thrives in fast-paced settings with deadlines
• Strong time management and organizational skill
• Possess a positive attitude and a strong internal motivation
