Network Systems Administrator
Position Summary:
Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and development of all IT infrastructure. Managing the overall traditional backend IT operations such as networks, routers, switches, servers, storage, backup, security, etc. Supports all network, systems, telecom equipment and cabling while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino guests.
Responsibilities:
Monitors, maintains, and ensures network and telecom resources are meeting performance, security standards, uptime, and effectiveness. Responsible for network security, configuration and support of the SSL VPN, Edge Routers, Web Access appliances and overall data security of the IT department. Plans for technological upgrades of network, telecom, server and storage hardware and software. Provides basic network, telecom and server support training to IT staff.
Responsible for system security, corporate email systems, storage area networks, virtual server environments, and server hardware and software. Ensures the integrity, functionality, and security of all assigned resources and applications.
Documents and maintains detailed technical inventories of all network, telecom, server and storage hardware and software.
Serves as liaison for the organization with hardware and technical support vendors and service providers.
Orders and prices out network, telecom, server and storage equipment with guidance of the IT Management.
Ensures server operating systems, data, and programs are backed up according to IT internal controls and standard operating procedures.
Ensures all networks, telecom systems, servers and storage systems are available, when required, and takes proactive steps to achieve 100% uptime.
Requirements:
Three (3) years working experience as Network Administrator or Systems Administrator in a Windows server environment, required. Two (2) years working experience maintaining networks and security systems in an enterprise environment, required. Two (2) years working knowledge of windows server environment with VMWare virtualization exposure and storage area networks, required. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
Must be knowledge of MIS and IT concepts, principles, and practices; computer operations and user environments; and Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Project. Must possess thorough knowledge of NIGC MICS, POIGRA Regulations, departmental, and organizational policy and procedures.
CompTia Network+ or Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCeNT) required. Must obtain Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within one year of employment. MCSE, CCNA, Security+, or other professional certifications, preferred.
Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills while paying close attention to details such as spelling, numbers, and grammar. Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data. Must possess strong computer skills and be able to operate Microsoft, AS/400, and UNIX applications and software.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field, required.
