Electronic Systems Assembler II

General Overview
The Electronic Systems Assembler II performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
This position is to be filled onsite in Hayward, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.
Principle Duties:
· Performs advanced mechanical assemblies & sub-assemblies
· Operates hand and power tools to complete assemblies
· Board level assembly of Electronic Systems
· Cable harness assembly
· Support of engineering prototype builds
· Reads and interprets work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed
· Interacts with management and team members to encourage effective communication on production floor
· Performs standard testing and major troubleshooting
· Ensures quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process
Qualifications:
· Ability to read assembly prints and electrical schematics, and blueprints
· Knowledge of cable routing, harness configuration, soldering, wiring & crimping standards
· Proficient in advanced assembly, general inspection and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems
· Advanced mechanical/electrical background with strong knowledge of historical and current assemblies and manufacturing practices
· 7+ years of related experience
· High School Diploma
This position may require exposure to information, which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e., the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be “U.S. persons” within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
Compensation:
· Salary Range: $50,000-$70,000 annually (based on experience)
