Job Title: Electrical/Electronics Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY
Installs and repairs electrical and electronic systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyzes, repairs, tests, replaces, installs, maintains and adjusts all types of electrical control equipment and/or components of electronic control equipment.
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment. Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. Tests power circuits of varying design or complexity.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as production equipment, transformers, motors, relays, switches, rectifiers, conduit and lighting fixtures, and replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as electric motor bearings or broken wires and cables, rewires motors, adjusts mechanical parts, or positions sensing devices.
- Diagnoses, tests, and/or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction.
- Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production components, parts, equipment, and systems. Reads and understands complex wiring or schematic diagrams for new installations or revisions to existing installations. (Responsible for check-out of installation or repair, before placing same in service.)
- Builds or repairs electrical or electronic equipment from sketches. Provides technical assistance and works with other trades persons, for troubleshooting and repair of machinery and equipment. Understands PLC logic ladders, logic code, and ability to program with the code. Plans layout of writing and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Aligns, adjusts, and calibrates equipment according to specifications. Calibrates testing instruments.
- Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties related to, but not limited to the above job duties as requested by supervision. Keeps facilities, materials, and work areas clean and orderly, exercising care in their maintenance as required. Maintains safety and inspection requirements.

EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:
- Work requires high level of knowledge and experience of standard and CNC machinery, electricity, electronics, and electro-mechanical. Analog and digital, PLC logic ladders, logic code, program with code. Automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motors, switches, rectifiers, conduit and lighting fixtures, etc.
- Aligns, adjusts, and calibrates equipment according to specifications. Calibrates testing instruments.
- Requiresfive (5) plus years applied experience.
- Possesses the ability to lift heavy equipment/tools and climb onto machinery, ladders, and other related equipment. Operates forklifts and aerial lifts as needed. Frequently handles weights over 50 pounds by utilizing mechanical means including carts, dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists; team lifts.
- Also requires the ability to wear a respirator, which includes passing the Respirator Fit Test and adhering to the facility's Facial Hair Policy while wearing a respirator.
- This position must meet “US Person” Export Control compliance requirements, as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15, which includes: US Citizen, US National, Legal Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee.
