Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have broad experience in the integration of analog and digital electronics in sensor systems. Experience with the design of sensor systems which operate at high temperature (175C/350F) is a strong plus. Significant work experience as part of a cross functional team comprised of mechanical, production, field service, and other electrical engineering personnel is required. Must be able to work independently when provided with the required resources to complete a project.
Analog Skills
- Development of power distribution and management for networked sensor systems.
- Collection and processing of low-level analog sensor outputs.
- Design of low-noise amplifiers. Experience with board-level layout of analog circuits.
- Experience with transceiver drive and detection circuits is ideal. Familiarity with mono-conductor telemetry systems (up to 25,000 ft) will be useful.
Digital Skills
- Experience with UART and CAN is required. Design of basic digital circuits (multiplexing, D to A, A to D, etc.).
- Experience with board-level layout of digital circuits. Ability to supervise fabrication and stuffing of boards.
- Ability to test and qualify new electronic assemblies. Programming of microcontrollers.
Wiring Harnesses
- Designing wiring harnesses.
- Development of quality check protocols for both the design and manufacturing phases.
